Opening and admission

It is a museum unlike any other in the world, created in honour of fine workmanship. The museum is an evocation of the legends, history, traditions, trades and masterpieces of the Companions of the Tour of France.

Warning :

Because of the construction works at the top of the rue Nationale, you can access the museum through the front square of the church Saint-Julien and through the museum courtyard. A stairway does not provide access for people with reduced mobility during the works planned until 2023.

DURATION OF VISIT : 1 to 1½ hours

Opening hours

> From 16 September to 15 June:
Everyday except on Tuesdays, from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6: p.m.
> From 16 June to 15 September:
Everyday from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
> Closed on :
January 1st, May 1st, July 14th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.

Information:
> Last admission is half an hour before closing time.
> No pets allowed.
> Photos and films are allowed but flashes are prohibited.

Price

Individuals

> Admission:  6,60 €
> Reduced rate: 3,30 €
(18-26 years old, secondary school pupils, and students, people over 65, teachers)
> Loyalty card: 14 €
(Giving free access to the museum and programmed events for a year)
> Multi-visit card: 24 €
(Valid for admission to the Musées des Beaux Arts and du Compagnonnage, the Muséum, the Castle of Tours)
— We accept: cash, credit card

Free of charge:
Children under 18 years old – Fine Arts School students – Students holding PCEs – Tourist guides – Group accompaniers – Job seekers – Apprentices, aspirants and members of the three Companions of the Tour of France societies – Press.
— Exhibitions held in the capitulary room.

Schoolchildren

> Nursery and primary: free of charge
> Secondary school: free of charge
