This masterpiece made of pasta dough is the work of Bordelais la Constance, compagnon cook des Devoirs Unis in 2008 for the 40th anniversary of the museum. It includes many hints at its history, the dates it was conceived and inaugurated, its curators as well as symbols of Compagnonnage (the faithful dog, the three founders, the chain that links the compagnons together, the cane, the greeting rite).
Ce chef-d’œuvre en pâte à nouille a été confectionné par Bordelais la Constance, compagnon cuisinier des Devoirs unis, en 2008, pour les quarante ans du musée. Il comporte de nombreuses allusions à son histoire, à ses dates de conception et de fondation, à ses conservateurs, ainsi que des symboles compagnonniques (le chien fidèle, les trois fondateurs, la chaîne qui unit les compagnons, la canne, le rite de la guilbrette…).
